Ferdinand delivered the message through a comment on Ronaldo’s Instagram account, @cristiano, after the Al Nassr star netted two goals in a 2-0 victory against Damac in the Saudi Pro League on Friday (29/11/2024).
“Slow down bro,” wrote Ferdinand, responding to Ronaldo’s post that read, “3 points, 2 goals, and we keep going!
Al Nassr Climbs the Saudi Pro League Standings
The win against Damac lifted Al Nassr to third place in the Saudi Pro League standings. The Riyadh-based club now has 31 points, just five points behind league leaders Al Ittihad.
Ronaldo was the hero of Al Nassr’s victory in the match. The megastar’s first goal came in the 17th minute via a penalty after Damac player Abdelkader Bedrane was caught committing a handball in the penalty box.
Ronaldo’s second goal occurred in the 80th minute. Receiving a cross from Nawaf Boushal, Ronaldo fired a first-time shot that the opposing goalkeeper couldn’t stop.
Ronaldo Remains Productive at 39
With these two goals, Ronaldo has now scored 15 goals across all competitions in the 2024/2025 season. In the domestic league alone, the 39-year-old has scored seven goals in just his last four matches.
Since joining Al Nassr in January 2023, Ronaldo has appeared in 82 matches, contributing 73 goals and 18 assists. These statistics highlight that even as he approaches 40, Ronaldo remains an extraordinary goal machine.
