LOGIC.co.id – Villa Vie Residences, a luxury cruise company, has introduced a unique four-year cruise package aimed at U.S. citizens who wish to distance themselves from Donald Trump’s administration.
Trump is set to return as the President of the United States for the 2025–2029 term after defeating Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential Election. He previously held office from 2017 to 2021.
The program offers a chance to live aboard the Villa Vie Odyssey, a cruise ship designed to provide long-term accommodations at sea. CEO Mikael Petterson revealed that this concept had been in the works long before the election results were announced.
“Although this campaign began before the election results, we believe we have the perfect product for those who feel the need to leave the country due to specific reasons,” Mikael said, as quoted by The Guardian on Monday (November 18, 2024).
Pricing and Cruise Packages
Villa Vie offers a variety of cruise packages, ranging from one to four years in duration. The packages include:
- Escape from Reality: One-year stay.
- Mid-Term Selection: Two-year stay.
- Anywhere but Home: Three-year stay.
- Skip Forward: Four-year stay.
Prices start at $40,000 (approximately Rp 634 million) per year. A full four-year package in a single cabin costs $256,000 (Rp 4 billion), while a double cabin for two passengers is priced at $320,000 (Rp 5 billion).
Premium Facilities Aboard the Odyssey
The Villa Vie Odyssey is equipped with high-end amenities to ensure passenger comfort throughout the journey. These include:
- Meals and Beverages: All meals and beverages are included, except for alcohol, which is complimentary only during dinner.
- Internet Access: Free WiFi throughout the ship.
- Medical Services: Onboard medical support is available.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Weekly cabin cleaning and biweekly laundry services.
- Outdoor Decks and Pool: Spacious open-air decks for sunbathing and a swimming pool for leisure.
The ship can accommodate up to 600 passengers and will visit 425 ports across 140 countries, including stops in the Caribbean and Antarctica.

Mikael emphasized that this program was created for anyone feeling uneasy about the political climate in their home country.
“We don’t take any political stance. Our goal is simply to provide an escape for those who feel the need for it,” he added.
With this program, Villa Vie Odyssey is offering not just a long-term vacation but an opportunity to experience a boundary-free life while exploring the world.
